Ann Marie Healy
Executive Director

Ann Marie Healy became First Hospital Foundation’s first executive director in 2006 after serving as the foundation’s administrator since its inception in 1997. Ann Marie is responsible for implementation of the Board’s strategies and for managing all aspects of the foundation’s operations, financial and grants management.

Ann Marie began her career in nonprofit management as vice president for operations and development of 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, a nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing cities and towns, conserving rural lands and reducing sprawl. In addition, she served as the administrator for the Union Benevolent Association, the oldest charity in continuous existence in Philadelphia, and as the executive assistant to the president of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council.

Ann Marie serves on the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Coalition for Oral Health and is a member of the Pennsylvania Health Funders Collaborative, Grantmakers in Health, and Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia. She has an associates degree from Delaware County Community College.  Ann Marie is a recent graduate of the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute at Bryn Mawr College.

Ann Marie enjoys gardening, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing on her farm, which she shares with her husband and three sons.


Lauren Wechsler
Program Director

Lauren joined PHP in 2017 as the foundation’s program director. In this role, Lauren will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of the foundation’s strategic grant initiatives. She will also build and maintain productive relationships with partner nonprofits and communities to further develop understanding of health disparities and PHP’s role in addressing them.

Before joining PHP, Lauren was project manager for the Center for the Study of Social Policy’s Building Neighborhood Capacity Program, a federally funded program that sought to catalyze community-driven change in neighborhoods that have historically faced barriers to revitalization. Previously, she was senior associate for the Economic Mobility Project of The Pew Charitable Trusts, where she commissioned research and developed reports on economic mobility and worked with the project’s team to launch a bipartisan economic mobility caucus in the U.S. Senate.

Lauren also served as coordinator for the launch of the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society at Stanford University’s Haas Center for Public Service and served as a research assistant to its founder Laura Arrillaga-Andreesen in her work on strategic philanthropy.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in history, Phi Beta Kappa, from Stanford University, and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.


Kyra C. Sanborn
Grants Administrator

Kyra Sanborn joined First Hospital Foundation as the grants administrator in 2015. She is responsible for grantmaking operations through all stages of the process, managing the grants database and content of the data and reports that enable the Foundation’s staff and Board to make informed decisions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Kyra worked at Apartments at 1220 as the communications coordinator, where she assisted international college students in need of housing with the rental process. Kyra got her start in the non-profit sector as an intern on the World Café Show at WXPN. Recently graduated from Temple University, Kyra has a bachelor’s degree in media and communications with a minor in cognitive neuroscience.

In her free time, Kyra enjoys being outside, playing music, and figure skating as a member of the Wissahickon Skating Club.
